Keven Davis provided service for the Williams family for many years after first meeting the sisters, Venus and Serena Williams, and also their father, Richard Williams. He served as their attorney and advisor for a while, representing the tennis superstars.

He always stood up for the Williams sisters, regardless of how big or small the issue was. The Seattle-based lawyer once criticized Chris Evert for making disparaging remarks about Venus and Serena.

Serena Williams’ former agent once criticized Chris Evert

Venus and Serena Williams had few friends on the tour, possibly due to resentment of their tennis success. Their former agent and advisor once described tennis as a “clique,” emphasizing the unfriendly nature of tennis players toward other athletes.

Williams’ former agent, Keven Davis said “Tennis is such a clique,” The Seattle-based lawyer also targeted the former tennis player Chris Evert. He criticized Evert for making derogatory remarks about the Williams sisters. He also slammed Evert for siding with Martina Hingis over the Williams sisters.

Davis said, “Chris Evert, for example, says negative things about Venus and Serena but always says she sees herself in Martina Hingis. There’s a totally different standard for them.”

Williams’ sisters at the US Open

Venus and Serena played their final doubles tournament at the US Open. They were knocked out in the first round of the US Open by the Czech pair of Linda Nosková and Lucie Hradecká at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.  The William sisters were defeated 7-6(5), 6-4 in the first round of the doubles event of the US Open.

In the second set, the Czech pair led 4-1. But the American sisters were able to mount a comeback by winning three consecutive games. The Czechs then held serve to go up 5-4, and Serena was broken in the final game to win the match.

Before leaving the court, the legendary Venus and Serena Williams hugged each other. The audience applauded the sisters and gave them a standing ovation.

Serena Wiliams has already stated that this will be her final competition. However, her sister, Venus Williams, 42, has not made any announcements about her tennis plans.
