The term ‘tennis bracelet’ came into being because of Chris Evert. In 1978, when the player’s bracelet went flying off at the US Open, the match was stopped to find it. Now, the designer Kosann paid tribute to the original form of bracelets by collaborating with Evert who popularized it.

Evert reminisced about the confidence these bracelets gave her while she played on the court. She said, “When I competed, I wanted to wear something that gave me confidence and empowered me, both as a woman and an athlete.” Furthermore, she added, “My tennis bracelet added a personal element to my style on the court and served as a daily reminder that I can do and be anything.”
