American superstar Serena Williams has been a legend of our sport. The way she carried out things in her career has been exceptional and second to none. Towards the end of last season, Williams was busy with off-the-court activities.

Recently, Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou was all praise for Hollywood legend Will Smith’s speech. Smith played the role of Richard Williams. He had only praises to hand over for the great man who groomed his daughters into making them world-class players. Smith picked up the best actor award at the Screen Actors Guild.
Serena Williams’ father was not a mainstream individual
The movie showcases how Richard Williams was an extraordinary individual who fought against all odds and emerged victoriously. The great man was a dreamer who managed to fulfill his wishes.
Speaking on Richard Williams, the superstar actor stated, “Richard Williams is a dreamer like no one you’ve ever known. He has a power of belief that borders on insanity, and sometimes tips over the border which is absolutely necessary to take something from impossible to possible.”

Coming to tennis, Williams has not been active for a long time. She was last seen at the Wimbledon Championships. Where she sprained her ankle during the opening stages of the match and was forced to withdraw.
Not seen competing on the courts for a while
Post that she skipped the US Open due to a hamstring injury. However, Serena and her sister Venus were both involved in activities out of the court. The movie ‘King Richard’ is based on the lives of the Williams sisters and most prominently their father, Richard Williams.
The movie was very well received by the audiences and some even considered it as the best sports movie ever made. Reflecting on this season, both sisters skipped the Australian Open as well. However, the sisters have not recovered from their injuries.
However, they do intend to come back on the Tour soon. We wish them a speedy recovery. All eyes will be on the sisters when they decide to step on the courts once again.
