In a letter, the internet entrepreneur previously revealed that his father used to work late at night in order to raise his family.

In his heartfelt letter, the co-founder of Reddit also described how his father stood by his mother’s side as she struggled with her illness. Notably, Williams’ husband was recently reminded of the letter that detailed his journey and family’s struggles and hardships.

On Twitter, Alexis Ohanian recently brought attention to an emotional letter he wrote four years ago. The founder of Seven Seven Six added that he had been asked by CBS This Morning to write a heartfelt letter to his younger self.

While talking about his entrepreneurial journey, Ohanian also talked about his father’s struggles to raise their family. The Reddit co-founder stated, “Speaking of dad, he’ll show you what it means to be a man. He spent most of your childhood working late nights in order to provide for the family and he’ll support his wife throughout it all and advocate through every chemo treatment and a rock for her amidst all the uncertainty until the end.”

The American internet entrepreneur went on to say how he gained wisdom after getting inspired by his father’s dedication. After being inspired by his father’s journey, Ohanian realized that what matters in life are the people and experiences, not the things one picks up along the way.

Ohanian talked about his mother’s unwavering support

In his letter to his younger self, the Reddit cofounder also talked about his mother’s unwavering support for their family. After moving away from Germany, Alexis Ohanian’s mother, an undocumented immigrant, came to the country with the hope of a better life. During a previous interview, Ohanian revealed that his mother broke the law as an undocumented immigrant solely for the benefit of her family.

The tech giant added that he was always grateful for all the sacrifices she has made for their family. Ohanian has always credited his parents’ wisdom, which he received as a young child, for helping him succeed in his entrepreneurial projects.
