Amidst the high-intensity drama and madness at the China Open, Jessica Pegula found something off-court worth enjoying in China. After a series of good performances, she came in with high hopes hoping to deliver her best performance on the court and taking the title home. However, things did not turn in her favor as she saw an early elimination at the China Open.
Despite the bad result, she found something worth enjoying. In a recent video that she shared via her Twitter handle, she can be seen making the most of her time in China while making sure to take home lots of memories, even if they are not from her tennis matches.

After a somewhat disappointing early exit from the China Open, where she was eliminated in the second round by Jelena Ostapenko, Jessica Pegula took to Twitter to share a delightful moment from her time in Beijing. In a video, Pegula could be seen trying her hand at a unique game of ring toss. With a sense of humor, she reshared the video on social media which caught many by surprise.
In the video, Pegula showed her aim while potting rings onto various objects and taking home the one that caught she liked the most. “The highlight of Beijing,” captioned Pegula with a laughing emoji.

Thus, despite her early setback at the China Open, she found a way to make the most of her time in China while making sure that she carried home a ton of memories with her. However, she was not the only one who enjoyed her time off the courts. Her best friend, Coco Gauff, who made her first visit to China also explored the local culture and enjoyed the beauty that China has to offer.

Coco Gauff tries her hands on calligraphy in China
While making her first visit to China, Coco Gauff made sure that she carried home multiple memories. In various stories that she shared on her Instagram, she tried her hands on Calligraphy, learned about the local culture, and witnessed the wonders that the city has to offer.
Gauff, who made her way into the semi-finals before bowing out of the tournament at the hands of Iga Swiatek not only enjoyed her time on the court but off it as well. Thus, Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, who are the best of friends on the tennis courts made sure that irrespective of their performance in the tournament, they enjoyed some great time off the courts as well. However, Pegula would also want to emulate her doubles partner’s USO success.

While Jessica might be looking to get over her loss and looking forward to the upcoming tournaments, she would be carrying home love, affection, and the will to make a return anytime soon to China.
