After the former world No. 3 player’s emotional farewell in the previous season, her compatriot, Clare Balding was given the broadcasting duties of the recently concluded British Slam. But, the 52-year-old BBC broadcaster recently became a target of scrutiny from the public, who were quite disappointed with this season’s coverage of the prestigious event.
According to an exclusive report from Express, Balding along with seasoned commentators Andrew Castle and Tim Henman, were labeled a ‘noticeable downgrade’ by the tennis community. Fans believe that the current edition of the BBC coverage couldn’t meet the high expectations set when the 67-year-old iconic presenter was in the role.

Notably, the fans are demanding that Balding should be replaced by another prominent figure, Annabel Croft. The former British tennis player has become an overwhelming fan favorite because of her impressive on-court interviews and studio punditry.
