The last few weeks have been quite tiring for Venus Williams. Despite not playing enough tennis, she has been engaged in some gruesome battles against some of the top 50 ranked WTA players. Following a round one exit at Wimbledon, Queen Vee has decided to take a tour to Spain before the start of the hard-court season.
Well, her trip to Spain isn’t only focused on recuperating from a tiring grass-court season. The seven-time major champion finds the perfect balance between practice and partying in the country. At 43 years of age, Williams continues to show motivation and desire to compete at the highest level. However, professionals also need time off the court to regroup themselves.

Venus Williams finds the perfect work-life balance in Spain
Venus Williams’ trip to Spain started in Mallorca. She visited the famous Rafa Nadal Academy for a practice session. The Academy has seen plenty of prominent figures gracing its courts over the years. From the likes of Casper Ruud to Felix Auger-Aliassime, many big names have practised at Rafael Nadal‘s Academy. But Venus seems to be the biggest name so far to have stepped on those courts for a hitting session.

After the practice session, Venus found the best possible way to spend her Friday evening. The former world number 1 headed to Ibiza for a weekend getaway. She posted a couple of Instagram stories.
The first one saw her dancing in her resort with the caption “I’m back on my feet”. She followed it up with an image of her relaxing by the poolside, suggesting a rehab. Her caption read, “Rehab goes on all day. But I try to make it fun. Multitasking at the pool. Also, I love grandma swimsuits :).”
Practice and rehab right after Wimbledon might suggest that Queen V is preparing for the upcoming hard-court season. So, when does Williams plan to play her next tournament?
