After having a year full of finals, semi-finals, and achieving Grand Slam titles, the 25-year-old has become one of the most prominent tennis players in the current tennis generation. Recently, the 41-year-old former world number one, in a conversation with Eurosport, highlighted how her victories and performances have made her second to none.

She said, “Sabalenka has been Swiatek’s main rival for a while now, ever since she won the Australian Open last year. We felt a hierarchy had been established. That’s a lot of confidence and it’s impressive because Sabalenka has come a long way in terms of emotional management and even certain aspects of tennis.”

What next for champ?

After achieving a second-round victory in the same tournament against Brenda Fruhvirtova, Andrea Petkovic asked a question in a presser regarding how the champ goes against her opponents: “1st round 6-0 6-1. 2nd round 6-3 6-2. Today 6-0 6-0. Is it fun for you sucking the joy out of other players games?”
