After winning the second round against Liudmila Samsonova, during the post-match press conference, the former world number one was asked about her favorite cover while talking about Gauff’s stunning appearance. As someone who has been a part of cover pictures often, rather than giving her favorite walk cover, she made her preference pretty clear and played it safe to stay out of trouble.

She stated, “Oh, cover? I don’t know. They’re all, like, really different and beautiful. I don’t want to say, like, specific ones, because I don’t want to get in trouble. But I think, like, my first cover I did after I won the US Open the first time, it was “GQ Japan,” it was really fun. And I guess “Vogue,” too, “Vogue Japan,” even though that was, like, right after the French.”

Not only that, she also highlighted that she has appeared on the covers, a few years before, so she is not clear about the current scenario, stating the reason behind leaving the actual question behind. Meanwhile, the young American tennis star acknowledged the significant impact that being featured on the cover of Vogue can have on one’s life trajectory and took the time to commend Serena Williams for her life-changing experience.
