Happy with her performance, Stephens became ready to praise her mother and her team for their efforts in helping her resurgence.
In the post-match conference, she said, “It takes a village. Shout out to mom. You guys, you see her. She’s also wearing her favorite UFC sweatshirt so she’s representing double sports tonight. But no, it definitely takes a village. I mean, I’ve been so blessed over my career to play in front of you guys, and I have so much support from my family and my team.”
She ended her speech with a final message of appreciation. “You know, I’m just really happy to have them here and support me. With them, with you guys, there’s nothing better.”
