Nearly ten years ago, Serena Williams and Meghan Markle became friends, and since then they have shared a close bond with each other. The two celebrities have supported each other through thick and thin. That, too, in such a way that Williams was the first star to appear on the Royal’s podcast show in August of last year. And, since their last meeting, their packed calendars have hindered them from spending time together. But now the wait is finally over, as a reunion is on the horizon, as the American tennis legend has been invited to Meghan Markle’s son’s fourth birthday celebration.

Even though they don’t spend much time together, they still made an effort to support one another. The American actress at the beginning of their friendship came to support Williams’ third straight US Open triumph that took place in 2014. Afterward, Markle was one of the tennis legend’s close friends who encouraged her in her new endeavor in 2016, when she unveiled her clothing collection at New York Fashion Week. In addition, the 23-time Grand Slam champion commended the Duchess’ cookbook, her first personal endeavor since becoming a royal.

Serena Williams and Meghan Markle will have a meet-up

After attending the king’s coronation, Prince Harry has already returned to the United States for his son’s fourth birthday. Whereas Markle skipped the coronation because of her son’s birthday. And to celebrate their son’s fourth birthday, the couple has decided to throw a birthday party for their son, with a star-studded guest list including a lot of well-known personalities from various industries.

According to an LA-based author, Lisa Gaché, who teaches children’s etiquette classes, recently spoke with the Telegraph. And shared some names of the celebrities who will be a part of the birthday celebration. She revealed that the American tennis legend, who is pregnant with her second child, is invited to Archie’s birthday celebration. Along with that, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, whose daughter is just a year older than Archie, are also a part of the guest list.

The Duchess of Sussex has occasionally been spotted cheering for her closest friend on various Grand Slam tournaments, including the Wimbledon and the US Open. Off the tennis court, however, there are not many occasions when both famous people are captured in a single frame.

However, a few months ago, the former world number one surprised her fans by dropping by Markle’s debut podcast show.

Williams’ debut on Meghan Markle’s podcast show

The 41-year-old tennis legend recently made an appearance on the Duchess of Sussex’s first-ever podcast show. She not only supported her good friend in her new endeavor. Yet, she also made an appearance in the very first episode.

Following their appearance on the show, they discussed their friendship, issues affecting women and other pressing matters. In an interview with People, Williams discussed one of the main reasons she went on the podcast show to support her close friend. She revealed that the podcast didn’t felt like work at all.

But she did that because they are good friends and enjoy having interesting conversations.
