Former world’s number-two tennis star Paula Badosa is ready to make a grand comeback to her professional tennis career with the upcoming Australian Open. In a recent interview, Badosa went candid about her chances to secure an outstanding height in this season’s debut Grand Slam event. Paula Badosa suffered from a spine injury that kept most of her 2022 and 2023 seasons off the court. Now following her return, Badosa reveals what she thinks about her performance after a long gap.
After her injury, Badosa made a comeback in 2023 Wimbledon. However, she had to exit early while facing off against Marta Kostyuk from Ukraine. Now after her recovery, Badosa delighted fans with the news of her attendance at the upcoming Australian Open.

Paula Badosa is nostalgic and excited to perform again at the Grand Slam event after her long post-injury break
When the interviewer asked Paula Badosa about her perception and thinking about scoring well in the Grand Slam event, this tennis star surprised the community with a candid answer. Badosa commented- “Yeah, I mean, I’m very excited to be back. Last year was tough for me. Also I had to withdraw. After a couple of years, I coming back to Melbourne. It’s one of my favorite places to play. I have good memories from a couple of years ago. My back, it’s healed. Obviously I still need time. It’s a process to come back, to start to feel at my 100% fit.”

Badosa further added what she thinks regarding her performance at the Australian Open. She said- “I’m getting there, but of course I have been seven months in a couch. Suddenly playing at the highest level, it’s a process that I think it will take time, but I’m ready for it. I’m really looking forward to play here in Melbourne.”
Previously Paula Badosa revealed her wish to attend the Billie Jean King Cup tournament in 2023. However, that didn’t take place as per Badosa’s wish. Now this tennis star is once again ready to rock the court of Melbourne and that also with her tennis star boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
