‘Alia Bhatt Is Having a Kid at the Peak of Her Career’ – Grand Slam Champion Sania Mirza Says There Is No Right Age to Have Kids

Sania Mirza is considered one of the best Indian tennis players of all time. Recently, in an interview, she complimented the Bollywood star Alia Bhatt for her commitment to her career despite starting a family. Alia Bhatt is one of the most popular actors in the country.

Sania Mirza is a former doubles world no.1 and has won six Grand Slam titles to date. Moreover, Mirza is the first Indian woman to win a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) title. The Indian tennis star won all of her Grand Slam titles in doubles and mixed doubles categories.

During an interview, Sania Mirza was asked about her decision to get married at 24. Replying to the question, Mirza said, “When I want to take a step about something I take that step only if I’m sure of it. I think times have changed now“. She complimented the youngsters of today who take decisions with great courage and strength.

She took the example of Bhatt, who recently revealed her pregnancy to the public, and said, “I mean Alia Bhatt is having a kid at the peak of her career. You know times have changed now. Your career doesn’t just end because you’re at the peak of your career and you get married. I had some of my best results and best achievements after I got married, I became number one in the world.”

Mirza battling painful injuries in her last WTA Tour

Mirza quit the 2022 U.S. Open, citing her painful hand and elbow injury sustained while playing in Canada. Fans were disappointed to see the player quit a major tournament.

Sania Mirza, who plans to retire at the end of the 2022 season, is battling a tendon injury in her hand that is taking longer than expected to heal. The tennis player is still struggling with her pain and can’t train efficiently.
