However, Evert’s relationship with Norman didn’t last long, as they separated after just around a year and a half from their marriage. Subsequently, Evert once opened up about her desire to date again.

Chris Evert wishes to date again

During an interview a few years back, the American tennis legend revealed that she is open to dating again if she finds the right person. Talking about this, she said, “I would be happy to date but I have found that all of the good ones are married. My work this year is especially strong and successful, but I would like to date again if that should happen.”

Evert attained massive success during her illustrious career. She went on to win 18 Grand Slam singles titles during her playing days. Further, her rivalry with Martina Navratilova is considered one of the best that tennis has ever seen. Apart from her singles achievements, the American legend also has three Grand Slam doubles titles.

After retiring from tennis, Evert has shifted her focus to work for social causes. A few years back, Evert’s tennis classic raised $800,000, which was donated to help fight drug abuse and child neglect in Florida. Further, she can also be seen commentating on important tennis events.

Evert’s kind words for Roger Federer

Last month, the Swiss Maestro, Federer called an end to his illustrious career. He retired after playing his last match with Rafael Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup. Talking about his greatness, Evert said, “No champion has ever been as loved by his peers as Roger Federer.”
