Belarusian tennis star Victoria Azarenka surprised her fans while speaking about the famous Petko Dance after her victory against Jelena Ostapenko. After her win, Andrea Petkovic arrived to interview the Belarusian tennis player. In her response to one exclusive question, Azarenka made Petkovic nostalgic about her famous victory moves on the court.
Petkovic, who is no less than a legend in tennis, made it so famous that her friend and musician Phil Fill composed an electro-pop soundtrack to accompany her fabulous moves. Now, after Azarenka’s revelation, it seems like the Belarusian tennis star is a fan of both Petkovic and her famous Petko Dance.

After defeating Jelena Ostapenko, Azarenka was interviewed by the legendary Petkovic. When she asked Azarenka especially about her feelings after winning the match, the Belarusian tennis star even surprised her interviewer. She said, “You gotta speak a little bit more… more fabulously about yourself, you are a champion, you have been a hero, I think everybody will still remember the Petko Dance on the court right?”

Azarenka pulled an overall 4-0 against Ostapenko by 6-1 and 7-5 win in the match’s third round. After this win, Azarenka will face off against Dayana Yastremska from Ukraine. Azarenka seemed pretty confident as she said, “I knew it’s going to be a tough battle; I felt like I played a really, really good first set, really kept the pressure. She’s a Grand Slam champion; she’s been in amazing form coming off the title, so I knew she was going come back and play strong. I was just trying to find an opportunity in that second set to get one breakpoint at a time and try to get my chances.”
