Jude Law appeared at the latest Brisbane International quarterfinal, surprising Aryna Sabalenka in an awkward moment with his support. The actor’s presence left the crown roaring and Sabalenka smiling , as the latter struggled to place who the celebrity was!

As Sabalenka wrapped up her quarterfinal encounter, the post-match interview quickly revealed to her that there was a special supporter in the stands. It was none other than the British actor Jude Law, known for his performances as a young Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts franchise and as Dr. John Watson in the Sherlock Holmes universe.

While Sabalenka’s shock was quite evident, what startled fans was her confusion over who the actor was. Sabalenka expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much for the support.” 

However, immediately after, when the interviewer asked if Sabalenka was a fan of his work, the former was greeted with an awkward moment, with Sabalenka turning away. While she wasn’t too sure about her supporter, she is more than sure about her ambitions, as she progresses strongly in the Brisbane International.

While the post-match interview had an awkward Sabalenka, the WTA star dominated on the court. Aryna Sabalenka powered through the quarterfinal, winning back-to-back sets against Daria Kasatkina.

With this, she moves on to the semi-finals of the tournament, facing off against Victoria Azarenka. Speaking about her next opponent, Sabalenka had nothing but respect for Azarenka. She went on to reveal the special place Victoria Azarenka holds for her, as an inspirational mother.

“That’s amazing, after giving birth, come back on a high. Definitely inspiring me so much.
