‘Always Begging’ – Serena Williams Says She Kept Feeding Her Dog Despite Being Weak After a Taxing Training Session

Over the years, Serena Williams has proved on numerous occasions why she is one of the greatest players of all time. During her decorated career, she has won 23 Grand Slam titles. Moreover, she is just a major title away from equaling Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles.

Last month, the 40-year-old announced that she will be making a return to tennis. Quashing retirement rumors, the American legend revealed that she still has the determination to perform on the big stage despite age not being on her side. Recently, she shared an adorable video on social media.

Serena Williams feeds her pet dog

The 23-time Grand Slam champion took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her time with her pet dog. Sharing a story, Serena wrote, “She’s always begging but I am so weak and I keep feeding her.”

Serena on naming her dog

During an interview, the American legend revealed why she kept the name of her dog after Rafael Nadal. She said, “He’s done a lot in 2022. He’s been busy. I’ve always been a Rafa fan. I named my dog after him.”

Further, she added, “He’s so cute. I miss the little guy. So obviously I’m always rooting for Rafa. So yes, he’s been really inspiring in everything that he’s done this year, and he has a lot more to do.”
