Venus Williams talks about practicing under dangerous circumstances

“This is Compton park, this is where we put in all the hours. I think it was somewhat dangerous. There was always gangsters hanging around. They were nice though (Isha didn’t agree with her). They were nice, but in the end, they were lost too. Looking back, they were kids or young adults. None of them were older,” Venus said

Isha Price later revealed, “They would play basketball, heckle a little bit. Every now and then, there was a bullet or two. We had to hit the tennis court.”

In an earlier video, Venus interacted with some kids from Mark Twain Elementary – the school she attended as a child. She motivated some of the students and encouraged them for the future.
