One such instance happened in her match against Martina Hingis, whom Williams called her epic rival.

Williams and Hingis once faced each other in the Poland Open. Their match went on to three sets, as the two were not ready to give up. Hingis was leading from the start with 6-4, 3-0. However, Queen V was not letting her rival take the glory. She put her all into the game and won with a score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.

This became a great comeback for her as she was able to advance to the quarterfinals. A highlights video of the match was shared on Twitter. Williams also shared the video, reminiscing about the battle. She remembered the match as she had lower body cramps and still prevailed. She added that Hingis and herself always had the craziest battle. “I had full lower body cramps in this match! It was dramatic. We always had the craziest battles!”

He was firm in his belief that Serena would triumph over her and used some brash words. However, the Swiss player beat Serena with ease.
