This all made the supermodel emotional, and she could not control her tears. When she got on the stage, she rushed to give Williams a huge and warm hug. Gigi Hadid, before thanking anyone, thanked the American tennis legend. She said, “Serena, I just wanna say that you have been such an inspiring force and beautiful light in my life for so many years.”

Hadid hailed their friendship and said, “I can’t tell you how honored I am to call you my friend and that you are here tonight, I love you so much. So, thank you.”

Both the Hadid sisters are huge fans of Williams. Bella Hadid had come to watch the final match of Serena Williams at the US Open. She could not help herself from crying over her farewell.
