The WTA former world no.3 replied to a question enquiring about her recent trip to South Africa. The 2017 US Open champion said, “We had the most amazing time. We were real tourists! I’m obsessed with all things Mandela, this was a cute highlight from my trip!” Stephens responded to the question with a picture of herself next to a statue of Nelson Mandela.

The WTA tennis ace also shared some nostalgic details about her grandparents. A fan asked her what her favorite childhood memory was. She replied, “Spending time with my grandparents! They were my best friends. I miss them so much❤.”

Sloane Stephens revealed that her social media platform had received over 2,000 hateful messages. This was due to the 28-year-old losing in three sets to German player Angelique Kerber in the 2021 US Open. Fans were surprised to see her inbox full of threats and racist messages.
