American tennis star Danielle Rollins was recently in an interview where she sat down to share bits and pieces of her journey that she had to take to be where she is right now. The 29-year-old revealed how she had to struggle during her early days to save up and be able to afford training and learning and attending matches that she really wanted to see.
Collins has had a career-high ranking of number 7 in the singles and of course, 2024 can turn around things for her. Let’s take a look at what it took for Collins to reach the successful peak of her life.

Danielle Collins shares her struggling journey that made her successful
In a recent interview with Danielle Collins who was sponsored by Morgan Stanley, Collins shared the struggles she had to face when she had nothing. As a player pursuing a career in sports, there were a lot of things that were involved. And for her to be able to make them happen, she had to take up multiple odd jobs.
She shared what and how she managed it. Collins added, “So I used to babysit regularly and save up. My babysitting money and lesson money that I would teach some adults and some young kids on the weekends. And I would put that money aside and then get myself on an Amtrak or Greyhound bus and get to some of those tournaments.”
Being able to watch these tournaments was also important to her as they inspired her and taught her a lot of things. So, she saved up bit by bit to be able to make her dreams come true.

Further, she also talked about how now she is lying about the dream life she always wanted after going through all the struggles.
Collins is happy with the dream life she is living
In the same interview, after sharing her days of struggling to make the bare minimum, Collins also shared that now what she does is the absolute dream come true moment. She shared that she loves what she does and it is like living a dream. Further, she also added that her parents are also very proud of her.

She also added that her parents are happy that tennis and all her efforts worked out for her and they are counting their blessings always. We are sure her fans would agree with the fact that her hard work has paid off exceptionally for her with her recent performance at the WTA Billie Jean King tournament.
