Martina Navratilova, the 18 times Grand Slam champion, is a strong-willed woman. She fought many odds to build her career in the sport. Therefore, she understands the efforts it goes into making one’s dream come true. Navratilova has a lot of respect for those who pursue their goals regardless of hardship and has always supported them.

Recently, she stumbled upon the news of how Andre Agassi’s ex-wife never gave up on her dream of giving a better nest to her birds. She was taken aback by her efforts and decided to congratulate her on social media.
Martina Navratilova sings praises of Shields
Agassi’s first wife, and Hollywood actress, Brooke Shields, had a dream of giving a place similar to hers to her daughters to hold their childhood memories. However, because of the price hikes, she had to settle for a 20th-century Greek revival building in West Village. The property wasn’t in a good state but with determination and vision, she converted it into a London-style home. As a response to this, Navratilova wrote, “Sweet, well done Brooke!!!”

The eight-time Grand Slam champion and Sheilds tied the knot in the year 1997. They were one of the most adored couples. However, things went south pretty quickly, and they decided to part ways in 1999.
Coming to the Pretty Baby actress’ relationship with Navratilova. She has been friends with Navratilova’s wife Julia Lemigova for a long time and came into the former’s circle through Lemigova only. Further, she was the maid of honor in their marriage as well.

Navratilova and Lemigova’s story
The nine-time Wimbledon champion suffered a great deal of backlash when she embraced her sexuality and came out as a lesbian. Though the fruits of her being brave was finding a perfect partner. Navratilova met her soulmate, Lemigova, for the first time at a Paris-based nightclub in the year 2000.

Although they had a short interaction, she left a mark on the tennis legend’s memory, and therefore when they crossed paths again after eight years; she didn’t hesitate to ask her out.

Thereafter, the former miss USSR and Navratilova dated for a while and exchanged vows in the year 2014. They had a star-studded reception attended by celebs such as Sheilds, Chris Evert, and Lynda Carter.
