Recently, she took to her Twitter to spread a message about global warming. When one user thought it might be okay to take a dig at her, the player came out strongly to shut him up.

The player uses Twitter to express her views not just on tennis but also on her ideologies and political views.

Martina Navratilova shuts down a Twitter user over global warming 

The player has voiced her concern about the change in climatic conditions around the world. Navratilova retweeted the post by Senator Jeff Merkley who had expressed concerns about the drastic changes in climate change.

It stated, “Climate chaos isn’t some far-off threat. It’s here, and it’s impacting communities in Oregon and across the West right now with extreme heat and wildfire. I will keep fighting for the bold climate action we need to protect our health, planet, and future.”

However, one user on Twitter decided to question Navratilova and replied, “Martina… you are a tennis player and not a Scientist. Let’s get that straight. You have no understanding of the Earth’s history or Geological time. Stick to Tennis.” The player did not take it lightly and decided to say something against it.

She replied boldly, “I am sorry- are you a scientist? Didn’t think so. And clearly you can’t read either. Now f*** off:). Stick to your own twitter feed:)”

The player has made deliberate efforts to make positive changes in the conservation of climate and wildlife. The player had participated in a reality TV show to raise money for the ‘Save the Rhino’ project.

How is Navratilova off the court?

After leading a glorious career on the court, the player resides happily with her partner Julia Lemigova. Not just that, she continues to do commentary for some tennis tours.
