The WTA number one will join men’s top-ranked player Jannik Sinner in the event. Apart from Sabalenka and Sinner, Naomi Osaka, Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, and Alexander Zverev will reportedly play in the exhibition match. The event will take place on March 1st and 2nd, featuring the women’s game on the debut day. However, the organizing committee has yet to announce the men’s game format. Still, the players’ excitement is quite evident!

The Belarusian WTA star took to her official IG platform to share news about her presence at the Las Vegas exhibition. “Excited to announce that I’ll be at The MGM Rewards Slam in Las Vegas! See ya there, March 1st @mgmrewards,” she wrote, sharing a post that introduced her and her rival Osaka for the special event. The exhibition will take place at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s Michelob ULTRA Arena. Guests will be offered various packages that include their accommodation, seating arrangements, food, and more – like The Ultimate Champions, The Perfect Match, The Gallery Pro, and Private & Group Cleaning Experience. Interested viewers can book the normal single-day tickets for $55 and two-day tickets for $127.50, but the luxe offerings are available till the 14th of February!

Reflecting on this event, Lance Evans, MSM Resorts’ Senior Vice President of Sports and Sponsorship, revealed their motivation behinds the event. Last year’s successful Netflix Slam, which featured Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz Garfia locking horns in a scintillating battle, seemed to be the catalyst. “We anticipate creating another memorable event experience, as tennis fans worldwide will enjoy watching the sport’s best players compete at the highest level in Las Vegas,” he said.

The buzz around a star player like Aryna Sabalenka makes her a perfect fit for the event. On the flip side, while Sabalenka might be gearing up for another tennis battle, her heart is still in Australia.
