Aryna Sabalenka has done it again! The 25-year-old tennis player made it to her second Australian Open final in a row. As she defeated Coco Gauff in the semi-final match, apart from her aggressive approach and the desire to take her US Open revenge, the Melbourne crowd assisted her in winning the match. Sabalenka entered the Rod Laver Arena with flashbacks from her US Open encounter with Gauff. However, this time, the energy of the court felt a bit different.

She knew that the crowd was against her at that time, but she also knew that she had to win this time around. To her utter surprise, the crowd cheered her till the last serve. While talking about them along with the US Open crowd, Sabalenka said, “Well, it actually motivates me a lot. But at the US Open they were crazy. You know, like, it’s motivation, but sometimes — not sometimes, but at some time it’s getting really annoying because they scream during the point and I totally understand that. It’s absolutely normal, they support their player.”

Further, she also highlighted how the crowd was quite good to her throughout her semi-final clash with the 19-year-old. “But I don’t know, like, going to this match today, I kind of, like, knew that probably people will be supporting me more than her, and it was really nice to feel that kind of, like, support, like she had at the US Open.”
