So let’s see who holds her nerve better. Coco has to be confident because she has beaten her at the US Open but then I think Sabalenka has learned a lot from that match. Again it’s gonna be all between the ears. They know how to play to win.. we’ll see who executes better.”

Davenport added his bits to Navratilova’s comments. She said- “Yeah it’s gonna be a big challenge to Sabalenka team to get her to not just believe but she’s gonna play a player that she knows she’s gonna get every single ball back in the play and for sure team Gauff lead by Brad Gilbert is gonna be ‘hey if you need to back up absorb or the pace, make her have to hit two or three extra shots she has started to make errors on those in the past. This tournament Sabalenka hasn’t had to play a great retriever someone who can handle her pace in the first two shots and get balls back. That’s gonna be a big change for Sabalenka in the math the court is fast though. That is a slight edge to Sabalenka.”
