Aryna Sabalenka’s Boyfriend’s Team Officially Confirms His Death With a Soul-Stirring Note

Aryna Sabalenka‘s boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov was 42. He played for the Belarus national team in the 2002 and 2010 Winter Olympics and also spent time with the National Hockey League’s Pittsburgh Penguins from 2003 to 2006. Unfortunately, Koltsov passed away and his death has been confirmed by Salavat Yulaev- a Russian hockey club.

As per the information available, the club shared the news about his death on the Telegram application. Their message read, “Konstantin Koltsov passed away. It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that Salavat Yulaev coach Konstantin Koltsov has passed away. He was a strong and cheerful person, he was loved and respected by players, colleagues, and fans. Konstantin Evgenievich forever wrote himself into the history of our club.”

“Koltsov won the Russian Championship and the Gagarin Cup as part of Salavat Yulaev, and did a great job on the team’s coaching staff. The hockey club ‘Salavat Yulaev’ expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Konstantin Evgenievich Koltsov. Bright memory…” This message was brought to light by a reliable tennis fan, who shared it on their X (formerly Twitter) platform.

The Miami-Dade police department spoke to CNN and shared, “According to investigators on Monday 18 March 2024, at 12:39am, Bal ­Harbour Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched to the St Regis Bal Harbour Resort. The Miami-Dade police department, homicide bureau, responded and has taken over the investigation … no foul play is suspected.”

Koltsov was the coach of the Salavat Yulaev club. That is why their official statement made fans more disappointed since they were fingers crossed, thinking it might be a hoax. Nevertheless, fans and the fraternity pour their condolences for Koltsov’s family. He reportedly had three children from his previous relationship with ex-wife Julija Milahilova: sons Daniel, Alexander, and Stefan.

After the two split, Sabalenka and Koltsov started dating. They were never hesitant to post their happy moments on Instagram. However, after the confirmation of Koltsov’s demise, the WTA star has chosen to take her time. She hasn’t spoken about it yet. Similarly, fans are in shock after hearing about Koltsov’s passing. People took to social media to look back at some memorable moments the couple spent together.

Remembering Koltsov’s birthday wish for Aryna Sabalenka

Last year on Sabalenka’s birthday, her boyfriend took over Instagram with his wish. Koltsov wrote, “@private_saby_ Happy birthday my dear!!! May you be surrounded by love, tenderness, warmth and care (in my face)!!! You are the sweetest, most tender, incredibly beautiful, amazing and you deserve the happiest life ever (you know who &)!!! Let everything be easy and effortless for you, in general, burn on the court my tiger !!! !!!” Koltsov also added some of the Sabalenka’s gorgeous photos along with his wish and delighted fans’ hearts.

Salavat Yulaev club’s official confirmation about Konstantin Koltsov’s demise has saddened both the tennis and the ice hockey community. Fans who were praying for the news to be a hoax have shared their utter sadness.
