Schett added, “She is taking the next step in her way of thinking. She has done all the work with a mental coach which helped her last year in the Australian Open.”

According to Schett, Sabalenka’s mental strength takes her ahead all the time even though she barely won the match against Gauff. She is incredibly in control of her thoughts, which is very important in tennis when thoughts are running wild for most players.

It is not just the former Austrian tennis star who thinks this way. Sabalenka is also well aware and in acknowledgment of the fact that her mental game is what sets her apart.

In her interview after winning one of the matches in the Madrid Open, Aryna Sabalenka shared how she is super happy with the level she played. She also stated, “I’m more happy with my mental game.”

She also talked about what made her such a strong person and that would be her father. The Belarusian beauty mentioned, “I think my father made me a really tough person without actually knowing that.” The way her father raised her made her a tough person and set a great example for her in many ways.
