Venus Williams is 42 years old and still going strong on the tennis court. The tennis legend has been playing the sport since a very young age and turned professional at the age of 14. However, when the tennis star turned 30, she was an active tennis player on the tour. In an interview, when asked about how she feels being on a tour with teenagers, Williams gave a very witty answer.

During an old interview, when the tennis player was asked about how turning 30 feels like. The Seven-time Grand Slam champion, Williams gave a very prominent answer that might make your day.

She said, “The whole thing is like when I look in the mirrors, as long as there aren’t wrinkles and stuff, just kind of looking good. Obviously, I’m playing well. So that has nothing to do with the age, I guess, so… Just hopefully not getting too much sun damage.”

Getting to the 30-milestone mark, in Williams’ opinion, is more significant to her than to others. She added that she will be satisfied when she has no wrinkles and can gaze up at herself in the mirror like she used to.

Williams’ 2010 season was a roller coaster ride

The seven-time Grand Slam winner won Wimbledon in 2008 by defeating her younger sister. That was her last major victory. But after that, the tennis star made an incredible comeback in 2010, but she suffered an unexpected loss in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. Additionally, she was one of the two athletes who advanced through the fourth round in all four big tournaments earlier in the year. She did, however, only succeed in making it past the US Open quarterfinals.

She achieved the third-best ranking in the world that year but was unable to maintain it due to a left knee injury. After the US Open, that ailment forced the American tennis star to retire. The tennis player was forced to withdraw from the Fed Cup, the San Diego Open, and the WTA Tour Championships that year due to an injury.
