The 62-year-old American tennis coach, who witnessed the whole Indian Wells tournament then and there, recently took to his X account to share a controversial take regarding how the Indian Wells prize money has a lot of rising concerns to be taken care of. While Alcaraz got 1.1 million even after winning the tournament, he also brought a recent PGA tour to focus on the inequal money.

Gilbert’s brings up another Indian Wells concern
Just a day ago, the tennis coach talked about how there is one point that tennis need to work on in comparison to golf: bringing more audience and connectivity to the game. In an interview with CNBC, Gilbert pointed out that other than the Grand Slam events, there are a lot of problems when it comes to the national coverage of the sport, whereas on the other hand, golf is blooming, and one of the reasons behind it is the coverage.
He stated, “The biggest difference between golf and tennis is every weekend, when there’s a major golf tournament, especially on the PGA Tour, it’s on network television.”
