Naomi Osaka has had a stellar career thus far. In only her 10th season since turning professional, the Japanese sensation has already won four Grand Slam titles. She emerged onto the scene when she defeated Serena Williams in the finals of the 2018 US Open. The victory over the mighty American gave Osaka her first Grand Slam title. She has since won 2 Australian Open titles and another US Open title.

Her achievements on the court have drawn massive applause from fans all over the globe. Moreover, her fellow players have praised the Japanese for her game. Andy Murray was the latest player in awe of the 24-year-old.

Naomi Osaka reacts to Andy Murray’s tweet

The Japanese ace was left impressed with Murray praising her. She said, “It’s a little bit shocking to me to see Andy Murray tweet about me. I hit with him once like three years ago. It was really cool to have someone like him talking about my game.” 

Earlier, the two-time Olympic gold medal winner had said, “Anyone hit the ball cleaner from the baseline than Naomi Osaka?”

Naomi Osaka looks in fine form as she brushed aside the challenge of Madison Brengle in the second round. Finishing the match in just over an hour, she defeated the American in straight sets 6-0, 6-4. She will take on Amanda Anisimova of the USA in the third round.

When asked about her performance in the second round, Naomi said, “I think I started really well. I feel like it was just a matter of adjusting.” She was further asked about her opponent in the third round, whom she will be facing for the first time.

The Japanese star replied, “we kind of did a charity event before the Indian Wells two years ago maybe. I’ve never hit with her, practiced with her. It’ll definitely be really new going into the match.”
