With just months left before she ends her tennis career, Danielle Collins is already thinking about the next phase of her life. Earlier this season, she shockingly revealed that 2024 would be the final one of her career. One of the major reasons behind her abrupt retirement was her battle with endometriosis. Now personally acquainted with the disease, Collins is contributing to a noble cause.

She has been suffering from this condition since 2021 and even underwent surgery for it. This significantly affected her tennis career, and she decided it was best to bid adieu to the sport. Looking forward to the next chapter of her life, Collins vowed to make an impact to improve women’s health and is launching a foundation for the same.

Speaking on this matter, Collins said, “There are so many places around the world where people are facing women’s health issues, and a lot of them don’t have the means to support themselves financially through those challenges. I’d like to try and help, to bring financial support to those who have faced similar challenges to me, and be there for women who are struggling.”
