Last year, Billie Jean King left the tennis world worried with a massive revelation. The American tennis legend said that she was suffering from an eating disorder and had been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. The former World Number 1 has been suffering from the disorder since she was 51 years old. Although she wasn’t surprised by it, her news caused shockwaves among her fans. Now, despite her struggles, the tennis icon has shared some useful tips for aging women regarding their health.
During her playing days, King was one of the most fittest and agile players on the tour. As a result, she outpaced her opponents with her brisk play. Here’s what King had to say on the health advice.

Billie Jean King has a piece of advice for aging women
Recently, the 79-year-old sat down for an interview with Parade where she talked about health and wellness. During the talk, she opened up about the workout that she wanted every woman over 50 to do.

Talking about it, she said, “Lifting weights when you’re older is really important for women, especially when it comes to preventing osteoporosis.” Further, she went on to add, “A lot of women will do a lot for their lower body and not for their upper. So it’s great when they do Pilates or lift weights.” Subsequently, King also went on to talk about the remedies when she’s sick. The tennis legend said that she opts for two tried and tested remedies to improve her health – sleep and water. While sleep helps rejuvenate the body, water keeps it hydrated, improving overall health.

A career athlete, health is a primary concern for King. Recently, the American tennis legend also shared a useful update on Covid-19 vaccination. However, that didn’t go down well with Novak Djokovic fans.
What did King say about the Covid-19 vaccine?
The 79-year-old took to Twitter to share useful advice on Covid-19 vaccination. She wrote, “Getting your #COVID19 and flu shots are an important part of living a healthy lifestyle. Updated COVID vaccines are now available, so make sure you protect yourself and those around you by making an appointment: https://vaccines.gov.”
