Caroline Wozniacki returned to tennis this year and has plans to continue her stint going into the 2024 season. The tournaments in Australia are about to begin, and Wozniacki has prepared to make the flight to the land down under. She will play in the Australian Open and will arrive in the country soon. However, as she recently shared, she is not making an easy journey over to the country.

For Wozniacki, missing the grand slam in Australia was never an option. The Danish player is returning to the place where she has achieved the ultimate glory, and she explained why the country is a special place for her in a message to her fans.

Caroline Wozniacki hoping for the best in a long flight
Traveling around the world is a common activity for all tennis players. No matter where they live, all of them have to travel to one place or another if they want to play in tournaments. Caroline Wozniacki is no different. The former number 1 returned to tennis this year and is making her way over to Australia for the first slam of the year.

While she is set to return to take a shot at former glory, Wozniacki will not be making an easy journey over to the country. She recently shared a picture on her Instagram story, which features her daughter sitting in a first-class seat with pink headphones. She also shared the caption, “16 hour flight with 2 kiddos is about to begin 🤪 hoping for the best 🙏.”

Wozniacki on why the Australian Open is special to her
The 2018 Australian Open champion would not miss the tournament where she has experienced immense glory. Earlier in December, Wozniacki announced her participation in the tournament and said that she is returning because the tournament is very special to her. For her, it’s a happy slam as she has great support in the country.
She remembered it fondly during her retirement but felt that she had something left to give to tennis and decided that playing in Australia was in her best interest.
