Over the years, Serena Williams and Venus Williams have enthralled the tennis fans with their dominance in women’s tennis. They started playing tennis at the age of four and a half years, trained by their father, Richard Williams.

Serena Williams has been the most successful player in the Open Era, winning an astonishing 23 Grand Slam singles titles. Moreover, she is just a major title away from equaling Margaret Court’s record of 24 slams. On the other hand, Venus has seven Grand Slam singles titles to her credit.

The two sisters have also paired with each other to win 14 Grand Slam doubles titles. Additionally, they also have won three Olympic gold medals in women’s doubles.

Further, the Williams sisters will feature in the Harper’s Bazaar March 2022 issue. “It’s virtually impossible to mention Venus Williams and Serena Williams in a sentence without following up with ‘greatest of all time’ shortly after,” read the caption on the Harper’s Bazaar’s Instagram post, mentioning this news.

Williams sisters’ absence from the tour
On the tennis front, Venus and Serena are sidelined from tennis because of their respective injuries. The younger William’s sister last played at Wimbledon in June last year. However, she retired midway through the first set in the opening round after slipping on the wet grass and injuring her hamstring. Her long absence from the tour has had a significant impact on her rankings. She has dropped to Number 241 in the world.

On the other hand, Venus has been sidelined due to a leg injury. She last played a match in August at the WTA Chicago Women’s Open. Her WTA ranking has dropped to Number 465 in the world.
