Notably, the 18-time singles Grand Slam champion recently backed up the popular American actress, Lynda Carter after she took a dig at Elon Musk’s $8 Twitter policy. The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress, Carter raised concerns over her fake account on social media by the name of ‘FakeLyndaCarter.’

There is a huge rise in impersonation cases on Twitter after the $8 verification policy was launched. A lot of people are missing the policy to impersonate celebrities, politicians, and brands on social media platforms. Notably, the popular American actress, Lynda Carter also pointed out her impersonation issue on Twitter. Carter stated, “Ready to do battle with @FakeLyndaCarter at this point.”
The 18 -times singles Grand Slam champion, who is quite active on her social media, also took note of this issue. Chris Evert further supported Carter by stating, “better not mess with the @RealLyndaCarter”

Apart from Carter, Evert’s friend Martina Navratilova has also expressed her disappointment after the change of policies on Twitter. The former Czech–American tennis player criticized Musk for launching his new policy of permanently suspending accounts that are engaged in impersonation acts.

A plethora of social media accounts users are quite unimpressed with the change of rules and policies on Twitter. Meanwhile, many notable figures including various celebrities and brands are also raising concerns over impersonation issues on the online platform.
Evert was honored as the Ambassador for WTA Finals
The former tennis player is renowned as one of the greatest athletes because of her historical performances on the court. Notably, Evert further reached unprecedented heights in her journey when she grabbed four singles titles in the prominent tournament, WTA Finals. As a result, the Women’s Tennis Association previously announced the decision to name Evert as the Legend Ambassador for their event that happened in Fort Worth.
