Beyonce’s “Be Alive” grabs Oscar nomination for King Richard

The Academy Awards nominations were announced recently. As it turned out, “King Richard” received nominations in six different categories at the Oscars. Will Smith and Aunjanue Ellis received nominations for best actor and best-supporting actress categories, respectively. The film has also been nominated for best picture, original screenplay, and film editing.

Moreover, this is Grammy award-winning singer Beyonce’s first-ever Oscar nomination for the song “Be Alive”. While the singer has the most Grammy awards to her name, for a female artist, the Oscar has been eluding her for quite some time. While she got shortlisted for “Spirit” from the 2019 live-action version of the Lion King, she was not officially nominated.
