In 2019, Andreescu won the Indian Wells by beating Angelique Kerber in the final. Last year, she lost in the third round to Anett Kontaveit. Unfortunately, we won’t see the young Canadian in the main draw, as the tournament is about to start.

She has already missed the end of last season and the start of the 2022 season. It’s still unclear when she will return on the tour. However, she could potentially come back during the clay-court season and possibly play at the French Open.
