King not happy with scheduling of the tournaments by the WTA
Gauff and Pegula pulled out of next month’s event due to a hectic schedule. As soon as news emerged that they’ll miss the tournament, King voiced her opinions on the overwhelming schedule of the WTA.
Talking about this, she said, “We all need to get together and figure out a better calendar for the players and everybody knowing what’s going to happen, because you can’t start making these decisions, like on the (WTA) Finals, in October or … September. They have to know ahead of time. It’s only fair.”
