Certainly, the camaraderie between Chris Evert considered one of the greatest tennis players in history and a pioneer of the women’s game, and her sons is exemplary in many ways. From her marriage to skier Andy Mill in 1988, Evert was blessed with three sons – Alexander, Nicholas, and Colton.

In a recent video shared by Evert’s eldest son Alexander on his Instagram account, the 68-year-old tennis legend can be seen making the most of her leisure time by engaging in her favorite pastime activities. Apart from dominating the tennis court for a considerable period of time during the 1970s and 80s, the American tennis legend has also been a doting mother to her 3 sons. Evert found herself in the most difficult period of her life when she was diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer in January 2022. Her younger sister Jeanne Evert Dubin, who was a former tennis player herself, died from the same disease in 2020. Being the warrior that she is, Evert, fortunately, overcame the deadly disease after finishing her sixth and final chemotherapy session in May last year. Of course, it was made possible with the unwavering support of her family – at the center of which are her three sons.

The love and close bond that Evert shares with her sons is pretty evident through the tennis great’s interviews and anecdotes.

In his recent Instagram story, Evert’s eldest son Alexander shared a video of her mother enjoying her leisure time, as she toggled between 2 of her favorite things to watch – UFC pay-per-view and American TV series Succession.

Alexander put out a quirky caption along with the video, “She’s enjoying the fights 😂 “just tell me when Alex and the main fight is on, I need to catch up on @succession” lol @chrissieevert”.

In an interview in 2022, Evert shed further light on her relationship with her sons and how she managed motherhood. In a candid revelation, she heaped a lot of praises on them.

Evert opened up on being a mother to her sons in an interview

In a heartfelt interview with Vault last year, the 68-year-old revealed what motherhood means to her while appreciating the presence of her sons in her life. “It’s, um, an active household but I think I was meant to be a mother of boys. They’re not high maintenance. They don’t fight over flowery dresses. They have one favorite T-shirt and a favorite pair of pants, and that’s it. If I had a little Chrissie, I’d be too critical”, she said.

The deep attachment and fondness she has for her son was clear in her words.
