Judy Murray’s advice to Emma Raducanu
While Raducanu tasted success at a very young age, her career hasn’t taken off after her Grand Slam win last year. The Briton has made multiple coaching changes but has failed to get the momentum and desired fitness level. The 19-year-old is expected to be fit before Wimbledon.
Judy Murray, the mother of tennis star Andy Murray, said that the reason for stress is switching from junior to WTA Tour level and her body will need time to mature. She also suggested that Raducanu should hire an expert who understands the female body.

“What’s becoming increasingly clear is that Raducanu’s body needs time to mature. “How many of today’s top female players, I wonder, are harnessing the peaks and troughs of their cycle? And tailoring it to their training and performance? How many could feel more empowered by investing in a woman’s health physio or specialist and making their entourage that bit more female-centric?” wrote Judy in her column.
The Briton will look forward to recovering on time and trying her best to win a Grand Slam title at home.
