The American teenage sensation has defeated the former world number one, Iga Swiatek, and One Jabeur to get to the semi-finals of the WTA Finals. Even standing against her won’t be easy, as she will spare nobody who stands in her path to victory. After winning the US Open title this year, the 19-year-old top player addressed her haters in her own style, mentioning how they worked as one of her biggest motivators.

When Gauff shut down her haters

After winning her first Grand Slam title during a post-match conference, she shared how she was motivated by all the negativity she had received. In a press conference, she said, “Thank you to the people who didn’t believe in me. To those who thought they were putting water on my fire, you were really adding gas to it. Now I’m really burning so bright right now.”

Along with that, she also highlighted how she knows her haters by name and even knows their usernames. With such spirited energy fueling her, Gauff remains a formidable force. As far as Gauff’s survey report goes, few can tell the reality of the sport – where the American sensation once even recorded a 206 km/h (128.0 mph) serve too!
