It’s the first day of 2024 and we’ve good news coming out from the tennis world! What’s it? Well, it’s time to congratulate the former number 2, Petra Kvitova, and her husband as they recently announced their newest addition to their beautiful family through a social media post.
As per several reports, Kvitova shared a romantic relationship with Vanek since August 2021 and then they got engaged in July 2022. A year later the couple got married and now on 1 January 2024, they announce they are expecting their first child. Seeing this post on Kvitova’s social media handles, fans quickly jumped in to show their love and congratulate the couple on the wonderful news.

Kvitova had a decent run on the Tour in the last season. She had won two titles in Miami and Berlin but now that’s past. The Czech superstar is currently looking forward to enjoying her new role off the court. She recently posted a photo of her alongside her husband where both of them were seen holding a picture and a baby suit, which wrote ‘Courage, Belief, Pojd!’ This has also been her slogan since 2017. And here’s what she wrote in the caption- ‘On the first day of 2024 I wanted to wish you a happy new year and share the exciting news that Jiri and I will be welcoming a baby into our family this summer!‘
Hearing this good news, fans came out in numbers to congratulate the couple. The official X (formerly Twitter) handle of WTA wrote, ‘Starting the new year with some lovely news Congratulations, Petra Kvitova.‘

Petra Kvitova had a stellar 18 years of her career so far. She won 31 titles in her career including 2 Grand Slam triumphs at Wimbledon.
