The mental health of a human being is often disregarded. It is as important as physical well-being. However, due to a lack of awareness and suitable mentorship, people find it difficult to express their mental health-related problems. Further, to raise awareness on this matter, various tennis superstars like Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka have opened up on the importance of this aspect.

Recently, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, and his friend Serena Williams got involved in a conversation about mental wellness.

Prince Harry and Serena Williams emphasize the importance of mental health

The 37-year-old made his first official appearance in 2022 with his friend Serena Williams for a virtual event. The duo was joined by BetterUP CEO Alexi Robichaux to discuss the importance of self-care. Speaking on the matter, the Duke of Sussex said, “the outer work becomes so much easier once you get to grips with the inner work”. Further, they talked about how the quote practice of inner work builds mental fitness.

Additionally, Prince Harry revealed why he thinks doing inner work is extremely important. He said, “Mental fitness is the pinnacle, is what you are aiming for and the road towards that can be really bumpy”. He also revealed how he practices self-care, saying he takes 30 to 45 minutes in the mornings to himself.

Further, Serena also shared the importance of setting boundaries. She said, “There was definitely a time I didn’t have boundaries and I think boundaries are so important to have in particular for a professional athlete that is trying to reach goals and to win because if you don’t have those boundaries, you’re not going to reach what you want to do.
