YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul, congratulated Serena Williams on social media after her second-round match victory at the US Open. Williams began the final US Open on Monday, after announcing her retirement from tennis. The 40-year-old, 23-time Grand Slam champion won 7-6 (7/4), 2-6, 6-2 in front of the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium Court to advance to the third round of the tournament that she has won six times.

On Wednesday, the Arthur Ashe Stadium was packed with celebrities. Zendaya, Jared Leto, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Laverne Cox, Spike Lee, Anna Wintour, and Chelsea Handler were among the celebrities who came to support Williams.

Many popular stars, including Jake Paul, congratulated her on social media following her match victory. He posted on Twitter to congratulate Williams, “Greatness defined. Phenomenal win Serena Williams.”

He also posted a picture of Williams’ daughter, describing the same emotions as Olympia, “Exactly how I felt when Serena just won that game. Vintage. 4 points to go. Let’s go legend! #Olympia”

Serena Williams got huge support from a veritable army of celebrity fans on her way to an emphatic victory at the US Open on Wednesday evening.

Williams’ return to Arthur Ashe Stadium broke several attendance records

Williams began the final US Open on Monday, after announcing her retirement from tennis. Because of her draw, attendance at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, increased dramatically. According to a USTA press release, the US Open set several attendance records on the first day of this year’s competition.

Serena Williams returned to Arthur Ashe Stadium for the first round of the US Open, bringing a record-breaking 29,402 spectators to Flushing Meadows. This is the largest crowd ever recorded for an evening session at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

This figure, combined with the Opening Day Session attendance record of 41,930 spectators. It also resulted in the US Open’s second-highest single-day attendance mark of 71,332 spectators.

Williams has won 23 Grand Slam titles and is widely regarded as the greatest women’s tennis player of all time.
