Tyson has been a tennis lover for a long time. The boxer is a regular attendee of the US Open and the Indian Wells. However, despite being an avid spectator, it was only after his 12-year-old daughter Milan, held a tennis racquet that he looked at the sport as a major life influence. Getting his love for Serena Williams to work, he enrolled her daughter in Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena‘s ex coach’s academy.

Going ahead in the conversation, he said, “Our whole life has changed over tennis. I thought we were doing well and everything, and everything we were doing was making money, but that’s not bigger than my daughter playing tennis.”

Despite just being a father to a tennis daughter, the sport has largely affected Tyson’s life. Considering the statement, it is needless to say that the game has had a larger impact on his daughter, Milan. Elaborating further, he asserted, “I see her transcending into something she would never have before if she hadn’t got involved in tennis.”

How tennis has transcended Tyson’s daughter

While Tyson asserted that tennis has changed his and his daughter’s life, he didn’t shy away from explaining how. Going further into the conversation, he gave a detailed account of how tennis has affected Milan’s life.

“She has confidence. At 11/12 years old, she has confidence in herself,” he started. Adding on to it, he further said, “She is disciplined in her own. She gets up, cooks her meals, takes a shower and goes to the gym every day at 7 or 8am.”

A whole lot of players pick up tennis racquets each day of the year, in the hope of becoming a professional player. However, little do they know that just learning the game is merely a part of getting up there. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Milan. Coming towards the end of the conversation, Tyson ended by saying, “She stays there until 4pm. She is very diligent and she wants to do this.”
