To say that Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova were just rivals and nothing else would be wrong. The two tennis players have been with each other in all their trials as friends and as tennis stars during their heyday on the WTA Tour. They have supported and rooted for each other both on and off the court. On the same lines, Navratilova recently hailed Evert for her resolve in raising awareness about cancer and its early diagnosis.

Unfortunately, yet incidentally, both the players have gone through one bout each of dealing with cancer. However, they have used this opportunity to make women around the world aware of the deadly disease.
