To say that Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova were just rivals and nothing else would be wrong. The two tennis players have been with each other in all their trials as friends and as tennis stars during their heyday on the WTA Tour. They have supported and rooted for each other both on and off the court. On the same lines, Navratilova recently hailed Evert for her resolve in raising awareness about cancer and its early diagnosis.

She said, “Chris was such a brave warrior through it all and she went public as well for the same reason.” Navratilova conveyed Evert’s message from her side and said, “She wanted to make sure that women were aware of what they can do to prevent this from happening.”
