Britney Spears’ Barefoot Tennis Skills Once Impressed Chris Evert as She Made a Hilarious Request to Sponsors

Tennis is extremely popular, and it is recreationally played by many to stay fit, even by celebrities. Once ‘Pop Princess’ Britney Spears was spotted playing the sport with her husband Sam Asghari.

Spears was seen in a video hitting some uncanny shots, but surprisingly, she was playing on a sunny day on the hard courts with no shoes. The video, which was shared on Twitter, got several reactions from fans. However, what caught the eye of many was Chris Evert’s reaction to the video.

Chris Evert made a funny remark about Britney Spears 

The 18-time singles major champion responded with a couple of wink emojis to the video clip showing Britney Spears playing tennis without shoes. Evert was impressed by Spears’ barefoot tennis skills when she made a hilarious request to shoe sponsors. She tweeted, “Will somebody get her a tennis shoe deal?”

Britney Spears, on the other hand, tweeted, “Not professional, but it’s really fun!” about her tennis game with a few exclamation points. Spears also enjoyed a game of tennis with her husband when they came out of self-quarantine in 2020. They played a number of tennis matches during that time.

Evert’s legendary tennis career

While at the peak of her game, she won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, including seven French Open, six US Open, three Wimbledon, and two Australian Open titles. She still has the most U.S. Open victories (six), and the best winning percentage of any male or female tennis player. She won 157 singles titles in her professional career and was ranked either first or second in the world between 1975 and 1986.

Evert competed against many of the greatest tennis athletes of all time, such as Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Martina Navratilova, and Billie Jean King, during her career. Evert kept a stoic nature throughout her career, despite being surprisingly competitive and displaying consistency and discipline.
