Alexis Ohanian introduced himself to the tennis fraternity as the legendary Serena Williams’ husband. Although many took their time to get used to the Reddit cofounder, over the years, fans have understood the special connection between Serena and Ohanian. Well, the reason behind the same is that Ohanian and the 23-time Grand Slam champion don’t take each other’s company for granted.

They value each other’s presence and never shy away from accepting and showing the magnitude of their appreciation. Speaking of which, here’s Ohanian’s recent admission regarding the same. 

Alexis Ohanian spoke about how Serena provided the required push and restrictions

The co-founder of Reddit is very active on social media platforms, especially Twitter. He loves staying connected with people and sharing his stories and thoughts. Therefore, when he came across the debate of how much family helps a person grow, he weighed in. Ohanian responded, “Something I try and check myself on regularly.”

“It’s not always working, but if you marry well, it helps a LOT because you get someone who loves you and calls you on your b*llsh*t because they love you,” he added. Ohanian gets guidance and emotional support from Williams and does the same thing for her in return. He dropped everything to cheer for her on her comeback in London.

Thereafter, he helped her step into the second phase of her life, leaving the sport to which she dedicated over 25 years. Ohanian and the five-year-old Olympia provided the much-needed backing to the former World no.1 during her last few tournaments.

Ohanian’s relationship with his family

It is an understatement to say that the nuclear family of three is close-knit. While the seven-time Wimbledon champion and Ohanian are both Marvel fans, the father-daughter duo loves video games and experimenting with unique recipes in the kitchen.  

Serena Williams and Ohanian, both have their own collection of Marvel merchandise and are always ready to attend functions arranged by the franchise. For example, with some time in hand post Williams’ grass-court swing, they happily walked the red carpet during the new Thor movie’s premiere in London.

Further, coming to Ohanian and junior Ohanian, they are experts when it comes to making pancakes. Until now, they have created a pancake Christmas tree, a pancake pizza, and a crepe-based breakfast.
